Boom Operator
A Boom operator is the goto sound person on a set. They are in charge of running the set from the sound department's perspective. They mic talent with wireless lavs and make sure everything is running smoothly. During the action they capture dialog with a boom mic on the end of a long pole so that they can be out of the shot.
